I decided to stick with my Alice and Wonderland theme while still following the sketch the Peachy Keen provided! I used the Once Upon a Princess cartridge again and had a blast creating Alice this time. I created the Queen of Hearts with this cartridge for my last challenge! I hope you enjoy!

I love anything Alice and Wonderland and ever since I received the Once Upon a Princess cartridge for Christmas, I have been dying to make the Queen of Hearts. I have also been dying to use my Cuttlebug Queen of Heart folder too. So I fed my craving today and made a Valentine card for my husband using both. What do you think? Isn't she pretty?

This week's Throwback Thursday, presented by Emma at My Creative Time, is to create a card using either the "Just Because Cards" or the "Wild Card" cartridge. One extra challenge is to include a stamped sentiment. I used the wagon from the "Just Because Cards" cartridge and the sentiment "Unfrog-getable" from MPS "More-Punny-licious" stamps. I also used the froggie from my favorite cartridge "Create a Critter". I hope you enjoy!

PKS: Let's Face it Friday: Altered Card Storage

This week's Peachy Keen Stamp Let's Face it Friday Challenge is to create an altered container using PKS faces to store cards in. So much fun, RIGHT??

I chose to make another one of my altered Tampon Boxes for this challenge. I have made these in the past, but I created this one just for this challenge. I never thought to use PKS faces on them before. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out.

Yes, this box was made out of an actual Tampax tampon box. I used an small blade to under the glued part of the box very carefully, so I could lay it flat. I then traced the flat box onto a pattern piece of cardstock and a solid piece. The patterned piece was for the outside of the box and the solid id the liner. I then used my ATG gun to adhere the cardstock to the flat box and then I put the box back together using hot glue. Finally I decorated it using embellishments and of course PKS faces. I hope you enjoy!

Scrap-a-Palooza!

Yesterday I spent a wonderful day with my bestie at a local event in our town called Scrap-a-Palooza! It is a 13 hour event at a local warehouse where over 200 ladies get together and scrap, scrap, scrap! It happens 3 times a year and it is so much fun! Here is some of what I got accomplished during the 13 hours of crafting!

Recently I have gotten on a kick of creating all the adorable children in costumes from the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. Boy, have I been having fun! I just love the look of the cute little kids! Of course I also had to use the amazing PEACHY KEEN face stamps to make the children even more adorable. Peachy Keen Stamps is having another "Let's Face It" Challenge. This week's challenge is to create a winter holiday project using your Peachy Keen Stamps. My entry is an ornament that I made for my son's first Christmas. My son was born in August, so this Christmas will be his first. We are very excited!

I used two cartridges including my wonderful Gypsy. The cartridges include: "Christmas/Noel" and "Stretch Your Imagination". I had such a blast creating this ornament that I also created a card to match which I am using to enter into Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge this week. I created this simple card using the the scrap paper I had left over from another card I created. I thought this bat was so cute! Below you will find my entry for her "Birdie" challenge. I was inspired to make this project from another challenge I participated in today. Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge inspired me to use my old halloween stickers I have been hoarding, so I went to town and made several cards at once. There was a little boy sticker dressed up like a birdie, so I thought I would make that one for this challenge. I had a blast today while my 5 week old little boy napped the afternoon away! It's really the first time since he arrived in August that I have gotten to craft this long. It felt great! I hope you enjoy!

I wanted to share a project that I created and completed this week for my baby nursery. I have been wanted to put a quote on the wall above the crib and I finally broke down and did it. I created it using my Gypsy, my Cricut Expression, a 12x24 mat, and the Cursive 101 cartridge. I cut the font at 2.5 inching and I also used the welding feature to combine the letters into full words. It ended up being quite simple and took just a few hours, start to finish. I also used the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge for the two elephants at the bottom of the quote and the Storybook cartridge for the accent at the top of the quote. I hope you enjoy!

Baby Shower Invitations!

My first baby shower is coming up next weekend and I just realized that I never posted the invitations that I made for the shower. (Yes, I made my own invitations for my own shower) My sister thought I was crazy, but I love doing this kind of stuff. My shower theme goes along with my nursery theme, which is jungle, so I incorporated the cute monkey from the Create-a-Critter cartridge into the invitation. I also used this super cute paper pack I found at Hobby Lobby a few months ago called, "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Boy". I love this paper!!!! There is also a pack called "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Girl" and it is just as adorable.

Here is one version of the invitation. I actually used six different backgrounds from the paper pack to make 42 invitations. Tell me what you think!!

It's a BOY!

My husband and I are expecting a little baby boy in August! We are super excited; he will be our first child.

I wanted to post a few projects I have been working on. First, I found this adorable scrapbook album at Hobby Lobby that I had to get for his scrapbook I'm creating. His nursery is a jungle theme, so this album is perfect.

Here are a few pages I've made so far to put in his album. I've got a lot of work ahead of me, but I thought the more I complete before he arrives the better.

These are a few cuts I made from the Create-a-Critter cartridge that I am sure will fit in his album at some point. I just love playing with that cartridge!

Lastly, I wanted to show everyone the gorgeous mirror/frame my amazingly artistic uncle made for our nursery. He surprised us with it yesterday at a family BBQ. I love it and it matches perfectly! Thanks Uncle Doug!

Here are two cards I made today! The first one is another birthday card for a family member. She loves horses, so I had to use the adorable horse from the Create-a-Critter cartridge. Super Cute!!

The second card is another Father's Day card. This one is for my father-in-law who is an avid gardener. I mixed and matched a lot of cuts from both Paper Doll cartridges. I thought it turned out cute. What do you think?

I actually made this card for my Dad-in-Law! I hope that counts. His birthday was in April, so I made him a belated card. My husband and him have a running joke, so they always get each other cards and gifts with monkeys on them. I won't go into the story that started this tradition. :) I let my husband pick out which monkey he liked best out of all my cartridges. He picked the monkey head from the Animal Kingdom cart. Well, here it is.

Although I am expecting my first child in August.... a little boy, I thought I would make a card for my little sister. She is still a kid in my eyes. She is star athlete at her high school, so I used the Everyday Paper Dolls cart to make a mini-her. I dressed her in her basketball gear and used a My Pink Stamper stamp that says "Rock Star". She is my star!

Hello everyone! I know it has been such a long time since I have posted anything crafty! I have been so super busy these past couple of months. I did get to do a little bit of Valentine card making today, so I thought I would post my creations. I used my Cricut, of course, and the cartridges I used were Doodlecharms and Sweethearts. Today is my birthday and I just had to share what my wonderful husband surprised me with this morning. Take a look:

A COACH BAG!!! Can you believe it! This is my very first one and I am so proud of my husband for being so thoughtful.

My Gypsy did finally arrive last week! HURRAY! I have had so much fun playing with it, that I am just now getting around to posting a picture about it! My GYPSY is on her way!

I received an email from HSN today stating that my Gypsy has officially been shipped! I am so excited. What a great Halloween present! I order her from HSN on October 9th, but there was an extended delivery of November 12. It looks like I will be getting her earlier like I hoped! I can't wait!!!!! I can finally join the Gypsy club!

A Ghoulin' Good Time

Happy Halloween everyone! Just one week until the big day! I hope you have a great one! Below you will see two cards I created for this wonderful holiday. I used my Cricut Design Studio to cut out the figures on each card. The figures came from the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. I also used my Cuttlebug to emboss both background mats. The pumpkin card was embossed with the Forest Branches folder and the mummy card was embossed using the D'vine Swirl folder. I hope you enjoy!

New Cricut Makeover!

I made-over my Cricut Expression. I found some green and pink vinyl at Hobby Lobby and thought I could put a little bling on my E. I use the Storybook cartidge fonts for the letters. I also used the Stetch Your Imagination cartridge for my little bug head and caterpillar. I thought it turned out cute.

I also finally got a bag for my Cricut. I also found it at Hobby Lobby and they actually let me use the 40% off coupon. What a deal right?! I was able to use it last weekend to transport my E to a Camp Scrap. I am loving it so far!!

My New Disney Paper Dolls!

My husband and I are huge Disney fans! Walt Disney World has been a big part of our lives and our relationship. In 2003 we took our first trip there and have been back every year since. He proposed to me in 2005 while riding the Dumbo Ride in Fantasyland and in June 2008 we were married at Sea Breeze Pointe behind Epcot Center. I alway try to tie Disney into everything, so of course I made two Mouseketeers out of my new Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge. I had so much fun creating these two. I hope you enjoy!

I Took the GYSPY Plunge!!!

I finally did it! I took the plunge! I ordered the Gypsy on HSN and also was able to use a coupon. Thanks everyone for the heads up on the coupon. It ended up costing me just $267.71. Wow! I am also so excited to get the new cartridge, Destinations. Now I am glad my husband advised me to wait a little longer to get it. Now I just have to wait until November for delivery, but it is worth it. HURRAY!

I have been having a ton of fun creating these cute little dolls. I have not created a project with any of them yet, but have been placing them into sandwich baggies for storage. LOOK what I finally got in the mail today! I am so excited. My Peachy Keen Stamps have arrived!! HURRAY! I received the Funshine Face Assortment Package and the Basic Paper Doll Face Assortment Package. I have been wanting these cute stamps forever for my Cricut Paper Dolls Dress Up Cartridge. I finally took the plung after ordering the NEW Cricut Everyday Paper Dolls Cartridge. I can't wait for that to arrive too! It should be here by the end of the week. Sweet Baby Card

Here is a card that I made my friend Jennifer who found out she was having a boy on Monday. I used patterned and plain paper from Hobby Lobby. I also used the Mini Monograms Cricut Cartridge to make the circle and scalloped circle. This was also the first card I made using my new Mega Mixed Messages stamp set from Papertreyink.com. Lastly, I embossed the patterned paper and the envelope with one of my Cuttlebug folders. I hope you enjoy!

My Disney Wedding Layouts

I have been in the process of working on my wedding scrapbook for a year now! I thought I would post the layouts that I have completed so far. I have quite a few left to complete, but these are the finished ones. My husband and I had a Disney Fairy Tale Wedding at Walt Disney World in June 2008. It was the best day of my life and I love reliving it in my layouts. I will post each new layout as I finish them. I hope you enjoy!

I finally did it! I have been wanting to upgrade from my baby bug to the Cricut Expression for a while now and I took the plung today! After playing with it for several hours today, I just love all the extra goodies that the E has that I was never able to do with my baby bug. I am a school teacher and can't wait to put it to wonderful use for my classroom. I am off to play some more!!!!

Cards Made Using My Cricut & Cuttlebug

This is the card I made for my husband on our first anniversary this year. We were married one year ago as of June 17th. Our wedding was in Walt Disney World, so I had to put a Mickey on the card!

Here is the creation I am using for not only a sweet sixteen gift for my little sister, but also as an entry for the Color Challenge #4 by the Pink Stamper. This is a HAPPY word book that I combined embellishments with to read, "HAPPY Sweet Sixteen Rana". This is only the second word book I have created... I also made one for my mother's birthday last week. I hope you enjoy!

Hello Blogging World!

This is my first official blog. Hurray! I have been lurking around many wonderful blogs for some time now and thought it was time to start my own. I have learned so many great ideas from some very creative blog keepers, so thank you to all of you who have inspired me.

I have always had a passion for crafts and picture-related hobbies. I can remember as a small child looking over my grandparents' old photo albums over and over with fascination, or watching my grandmother create her wonderful ceramic masterpieces in her garage ceramic shop, or obsessing over taking pictures at every family get-together. Creativity, crafts, and the importance of keepsakes have been instilled in me from a very young age.

Although I have always had this passion, I was not official introduce into the scrapbooking world until my sophomore year of high school. I discovered my new friend's family had recently opened a scrapbook store in our community. At that point I did not know what official scrapbooking was... I just owned a few albums that I strategically kept my photos and memorabilia in... I thought that was being creative. On my first visit to her store, I did not know what to expect until I walked in. I was like a child in a candy store. Beautiful colors and textures bounced back at me from every direction as I walked up and down the isles in amazement. The were papers, pens, stickers, ribbons, tools, and scrapbook creations as far as the eye could see. My friend took me to the area were she kept her personal scrapbooks and showed me some of her creations. I was amazed... I had never seen anything like it. She then ask me, "Would you like to help me make something?" Of course I accepted, but I found myself just sitting there in amazement as she went to work. She had a gift that I knew I could achieve too.

Before I left that day I knew exactly what I wanted to do... I wanted my family to own a scrapbook store!!! Hee, hee! Yeah... that never happened. However, I did visit her store frequently during the next few weeks as I worked on a present for my mother's birthday. I collected some old pictures from around the house and snuck them out to create a framed picture collage for my mother. I am still proud of that page to this day. My friends' family was so generous in allowing me to us some of their supplies at no cost. That event lead to my now loved hobby of scrapbooking and paper crafts.
